My One Word
2 years ago I stumbled upon a website that started a whole new way for me to view a new year. It was myoneword.com
The idea is for you to choose just one word for you to focus on for the next year. How do you choose your word? You visualize the kind of person you want to be. List some characteristics that make up a person like that and then pick one of those words.
2011 - my word was "perserverence".
I lost -40 lbs
I grew out my hair
I plowed through some difficult things emotionally
2012 - my word was "joy".
I became debt free
The Lord allowed a wonderful man back into my life. In 7 months we dated, got engaged and got married!
I grew closer to the Lord and have experienced what His grace is really all about.
2013 - my word is "strength".
Only the Lord knows how He will use this word in my life this year.
